Preparatory Year FAQs

Rationale: |
A foundation year to prepare students with English, and optionally
with IT, Communication Skills and Time management, before they
enroll in the program of their choice and begin their Virtual
Education.

Duration: |
The length of the program will be decided according to the
student’s proficiency in English. A Placement Test is scheduled
upon registration. The Placement Test scores will decide the
starting course for each student. The Prep year program consists
of 5 levels of 9 weeks each. Optionally, in addition to the
English courses, an IT course and a Communication Skills and Time
Management (CSTM) course are taught in parallel to the 4th or 5th
English levels.

Students residing in the United Arab Emirates should
register and pay fees at the university telecenter in Dubai Knowledge Village, adding 9% on their courses tuitions. |

Registration Dates: |
Anytime during the year to enroll in the nearest course. Placement
tests are held each Thursday. |

Successful Prep Year students can enroll in the HND
program in e-Business without having to pass any English Entrance
Exam
