Rationale: |
A degree designed to enable students to exploit knowledge of
computing and business by acquiring the skills to professionally
develop web-based applications, apply professional computer
programming skills and manage marketing skills and knowledge.
The HND in Computing and Business Applications (e-Business) is
available in two languages: English and Arabic.

Providers: |
The HND programs (English and Arabic) are offered by SVU through a
partnership with the British Academic institution EDEXCEL, which
was formed by the merger of two of the UK leading examination and
assessment boards: BTEC, the Business and Technology Education
Council, and ULEAC, the University of London Examinations and
Assessment Council.

Students residing in the United Arab Emirates should

Top Up: |
A top up is the upgrade of an academic award for a higher level
degree.
The HND degree (Arabic or English) can be topped up (online) for a
Bachelor, with one additional year in any British or American
university.

Top-ups are only available in English-speaking universities.
Students enrolling in the Arabic HND program are advised to study
in parallel in the SVU Preparatory Year program (to acquire the
appropriate English proficiency level) and then apply for a
Bachelor in any partner-university.

Admissions Requirements:

- High-School and/or University Official Transcript
- 2 Passport Photographs
- SVU Preparatory Year Certificate
or paper-based TOEFL score: 500 and above
or computer-based (CBT) TOEFL score: 173 and above
or IELTS score: 5.0 and above
Students will be accepted on Probation for one semester only if
they meet the following:
paper-based TOEFL Scores: 470 and above
or CBT TOEFL Scores: 135 and above
or IELTS scores 4.5 and above.
If their English level affects their learning during the semester,
they will be asked to withdraw from the Program.
