The Syrian Virtual University in a joint venture with EDEXCEL is now offering the first online Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computing and Business Applications

The SVU and EDEXCEL are currently working on the creation and delivery of an online Arabic Higher National Diploma in e-business. This degree should be available in September 2003 at the Syrian Virtual University and Arabic HND graduates will benefit from the same privileges and opportunities offered to English HND graduates.

These include the option for students to top-up their two-year degree and earn a Bachelor in a third year of study, in any of the British partner universities, fully online!

EDEXCEL was formed in 1996 by the merger of the Business & Technology Education Council (BTEC), the country’s leading provider of vocational qualifications, and the University of London Examinations & Assessment Council (ULEAC), one of the major exam boards for GCSEs and A levels.
